Pop Up Flash

Ok, I normally HATE HATE HATE HATE the pop up flash, it blows out faces, it causes red eye and is just a general nuisance to pictures. I only use that flash in emergency situations if at all.

-if you WERE going to use it, I’d get a lightscoop from lightscoop.com, its not very compact, but it makes the pop-up flash bearable.

-Or alternatively get some sort of pop-up flash diffuser planes from amazon.

I’ve tried putting tissues in front of the flash, its just a pain to hold em there. So, you should at least do SOMETHING to get rid of the harsh shadows if you were to use pop-up flash.

How did you get your first PAID photography job?

Mine was just showing up with a camera…taking some pictures for fun. Gave em my contact info when they loved the pictures. ^_^ Called few weeks later.

Concert Day

Well, we met and gave our contact info to the lead singer first band. We showed him the portfolio. And he seemed to like it. Tayl unfortunately doesnt have the [woman] balls to approach strangers. So I did the approaching the people.

Then I met up with a guy who was working for the second band. We showed him the portfolio and he liked it and put our number in his PDA. He said he’ll call us next local show with details.  Yessss

Then we saw this guy who started talking to me about cameras cause he over heard my conversation. He was talking about how he wants to upgrade to a Canon 40D and that his friend was selling a Canon rebel XT. I am considering a used 40D acually.

I think this day ended quite well. We had a blast at the concert. Met some bands. ^_^ and a fellow photographer person.
